TMD Friction is a leading global supplier of high-quality brake friction solutions to the automotive and brake industries. The company develops and manufactures disc brake pads and drum brake linings for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

TMD Friction supplies vehicle manufacturers with premium products for original equipment, as well as being a driving force in the international aftermarket with the brands Textar, Mintex, Don, Pagid, Cobreq and Bendix. The product portfolio also includes brake friction products for motor racing under the Pagid Racing and Mintex Racing brands and for industry applications under the Cosid brand.

TMD Friction Group employs more than 4,200 people worldwide with locations across Europe, the USA, Brazil, Mexico, China, and Japan.

We produce high-quality braking components for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, high-performance vehicles, motorcycles, and industrial applications. With one of the widest portfolios of friction formulations in the market, we offer our customers clearly differentiated and tailored products in every segment.

With locations worldwide, we benefit from a unique proximity to our customers. Our manufacturing expertise ranges from small to high volume series production and we have our own production and testing facilities.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Our actions are guided by a comprehensive sustainability road-map with ambitious goals such as 100% renewable energy by 2030. We were the first supplier to deliver copper-free brake pads for high-performance vehicles and supplied the first generation of EV brakes. Currently, we are working together with UNECE to define a standardized way to measure brake emissions for the Euro 7 standards.
